Set up instructions for iOS (iPhone / iPad)

There are various ways to set up email on phones and tablets. Here are a few:

Sending a Configuration File to Another Email Account Set Up on the Device

If you already have another email account set up, the simplest way is to go to the webmail and have the mail server send a configuration file that automatically sets up the email account:

1. Open Webmail (instructions)

2. Choose Apple (iPhone, iPad) under Select the device you will use

   

   
   
3. Enter the email address to send the file to (note: it must be different from the email address being set up).
4. Click on Send
5. Shortly, you will receive an email with an attachment. Click on the attachment and follow the instructions on the device to complete the setup.

Downloading a Configuration File from Webmail

You can download a configuration file that takes care of setting up the device automatically:

1. Open a browser, such as Chrome or Safari
2. Open Webmail (instructions)

3. Click on Automatically configure my device

   

   
   
4. Click on IMAP over SSL/TLS
5. A file with the extension .mobileprovision will be downloaded. Open it and follow the instructions on the device to complete the setup.
